The Grand, Brighton is currently seeking a Senior Receptionist to join our successful team. Reporting to the Reception Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of a shift, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard by all Receptionists; and ensuring that all guests are greeted on arrival in a manner that makes the guest feel welcome, comfortable and at ease.

The ideal applicant will be an enthusiastic team player with excellent customer service and communication skills. You will have good organisational skills and be able to train and motivate others within the team.

This position would suit a Receptionist who is looking to take the next career step or a current shift leader who has experience within a similar quality environment - experience of Opera Reservation Systems is ideal but not essential.

Other key responsibilities include:

·Maximising revenue through the upselling of rooms and upgrades and other services such as champagne or celebration packs.

·Taking reservations from walk in guests, ensuring that the correct registration and check in procedures are adhered to at all times.

·Dealing with complaints professionally and effectively, resolving issues where possible.

·Maintaining relationships with other key departments such as Housekeeping, ensuring that effective communication is built up to minimise guest complaints.
