Customer Service Helpdesk Assistant
Job Description:
Reporting to the Customer Services Manager, the post-holder’s main responsibilities will be to provide application support to customers (via an email-based system) and to assist with the testing of software. Examples of typical tasks include:
- Responding to customer queries within two working hours
- Investigating and solving problems described by customers
- Monitoring/ managing existing calls
- Testing software before its release to customers
- Answering the telephone or door buzzer
- Occasional general administration tasks (e.g. scanning/faxing documents, ordering stationery or printer/toner supplies)
Personal qualities/skills required:
- Hardworking, trustworthy, and pays attention to detail
- Able to work under own initiative
- Excellent written communication skills
- Polite and confident telephone manner
- Willingness/ability to learn to use new computer systems and applications
- Willingness to take personal responsibility for customer queries and see a problem through to its resolution
