Working for a local council to ensure the delivery of a Mechanical and Electrical systems maintenance service to council housing and manage all statutory service certification. To be responsible for a programme of cyclical maintenance, responsive repairs and planned works. To monitor and manage the approved budgets, staff and contractor performance. To manage a team of officers to ensure the proper administration of the service, to respond to customer needs and deliver the core values of the council.

To project manage and monitor specific planned program works and budgets of varying amounts.

Experience
• Extensive Mechanical and Electrical related repairs and maintenance, including contract monitoring at a management level
• Experience at a management level within the gas industry including proven knowledge of related contract monitoring and enforcement.
• Experience of managing staff, including developing, motivating and managing change.
• Experience of dealing with Health and Safety issues from a contract, residents’ and staff perspective.
• Experience of managing and resolving complaints.

Education Qualifications
• Higher National Certificate in Building Services.
• Supervisory Qualification (NVQ 3 or Equivalent).
• CITB Accredited Certification Scheme for Gas.
• Institute of Electrical Engineers or Chartered Institute Building Services Engineers membership or
• a minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification experience.
