Job Description:
My client, a leading developer of online games, are looking for permanent and contract (9-12 months) AUDIO SOFTWARE ENGINEERS to join the team on their next ground breaking online game.
Responsibilities:
Work with a BAFTA award winning audio team on a high-profile, next generation online game. The role will involve creation of high quality software systems that:
•Manipulate sound samples to produce exciting and interactive soundscapes;
•Provide interfaces to allow creative sound design; and
•Coexist with the systems provided by Unreal Engine 3 and AudioKinetic’s Wwise.
Qualifications Required:
•Relevant degree or at least 3 years experience in a similar role.
Knowledge / Skills Required:
You must have a strong interest in audio and thorough understanding of game audio design and implementation. The following are also essential.
•Strong C++ programming skills.
•Knowledge of game audio APIs and game systems in general.
•Object oriented software design skills.
•3D maths ability.
•Excellent written and verbal communication.
•High standards of quality and a strong passion for audio in games.
Knowledge / Skills Preferred:
•Familiarity with AudioKinetic’s Wise, UnrealEngine3 or with the Unreal Technology suite.
•Experience with DSP, realtime sound synthesis, sound design, or other audio related speciality.
