Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens.
Very Sharp and contrasty - see example photos (let me know if you want originals). No distortion.
If you don't already have a fast prime lens, then it's an essential addition to your kit; ability to have hand held shots in low light without having to stick up the ISO too high - i.e. any indoor shot! Brilliant corner to corner sharpness.
