Hays Education is currently looking to appoint an experienced, and enthusiastic Leader of Maths to join them from January 2010 or sooner. 

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Maths teacher, looking to progress within an innovative and strong department.  After recent restructuring this school have developed a strong team of Maths Specialists, who have changed the way Maths is taught and have developed an exciting and innovative curriculum.  The progress within Maths over the last 12 months has been outstanding and one the school is very proud of.

 

This school is looking for a Leader of Maths who has proven track record of excellent teaching, to join the Maths department.  The role requires someone to lead, develop and promote Maths across the whole academy, working with the existing team of Maths teachers. You should be passionate about teaching Maths, committed to inclusive education and keen to make a difference. 

 

This is a superb opportunity to develop leadership and management skills within the Mathematics department and contribute, with other lead teachers in the school, to whole school improvement strategies.  This post offers the opportunity to lead across the full age and ability range in a successful and forward-looking department.  An ability to teach at KS5 although desirable is not essential.

You must have Qualified Teacher Status in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with UK teaching experience.  This will allow you to deliver the National Curriculum and be properly equipped to deal with classroom management.  You will be committed to raising standards and have good organisational and interpersonal skills.  Energy, ambition and enthusiasm are a must!

- Experience of teaching Maths to KS3 and 4
