Our client is currently seeking a self motivated, hard working Social Worker to join their children's department. Ideally candidates will have a minimum 2 years working knowledge within children and families settings, with experience of residential and looked after children 'LAC' procedures. Although candidates with less but fully relevant experience will also be considered.

You will be working for a busy independent fostering agency based near the city center and your role will be to ensure all standards within the company are met and all adoption prospects are fully vetted and suitable for placements.

You will have responsibility for their own case load alongside supporting qualified social workers. There will be an expectation for the SSWA to assist in the supervision, assessment and recording.

The worker should preferably be able to pick up, efficiently manage and progress cases through all elements of Policy and Procedure for Looked after Children. And you must have good organisational skills and a good enough understanding of policy, procedure and the basics of legislation.

Applicants must have Evidence of their right to work in the UK * 2 professional references* the ability to obtain a Criminal Record Bureau check.
