We are a small team, with a relaxed but focused working environment, looking for a talented and enthusiastic web designer to join us.

The position will be based in our offices near Brighton University, in Moulscombe's modern, eco-friendly, Westergate Business Centre development.



Job Description:

The successful applicant will be involved with various design work to support our web based projects, including the design of websites, logos and templates, and other related tasks.

There will also be the opportunity to get involved in other areas of our business in a role that will be expansive based on your skills, knowledge and experience.


Skills Range:

Essential:
- Strong graphic design skills with packages such as Fireworks, PhotoShop, etc.
- Ability to design logos and website templates in a broad range of styles.
- An understanding of how to develop simple interfaces that can be easily understood and used by non-technical users
- A portfolio of work that demonstrates all of the above.
- Hand coded (X)HTML and CSS
- The ability to write clearly and explain technical concepts in layman's terms
- A keen and current interest in various web technologies and trends
- Fluent English, spoken and written
- Excellent communication skills

Desirable:
- JavaScript and AJAX experience
- Experience with JavaScript Libraries such as JQuery
- Flash animation and ActionScript
- Experience supporting and liaising with clients.
- Some understanding of server side technologies such as PHP would be an advantage.
