Music Industry Project - Starting Tuesday 29th September - 19 weeks– Tuesday - Thursday

Course Outlines:
Music Industry Project
This course will introduce young people to all aspects of the music industry and will give them a choice of two pathway options:
Music Production and Business
Music and Live Event Promotion
All participants will get the chance to make their own tracks, with the music business pathway leading to a release of a group track on Dv8’s own record label and the events group staging a showcase event. The Music industry project contains the following units:
Recording techniques
Music sequencing
Event Promotion
Song Writing
Mixing and Mastering
Artist Promotion
Flyer and Poster Design
Marketing and Promotion
Record Companies
Website Design
Artist Booking
This course is for young people with an interest in the music industry and who want the chance to learn from professionals active in the industry. Progression routes from this course can lead to work placements, Creative Apprenticeships or a L2 course at college.
Fashion
Participants on this course will learn the skills needed to design and produce their own garments and stage their own fashion show. They will learn from Fashion professionals active in the industry and cover the following areas:
History of fashion and design
Introduction to design skills
Technical Drawing
Pattern Cutting
Sewing techniques
Textiles
Customisation
Manufacture
Styling
Business Management

Qualifications
All courses are accredited with the NOCN Progression Award, The Arts Award and Key Skills Qualifications.
Eligibility
Young people referred onto this programme must be between 16-18, not in full time work or education and have not yet achieved a full level 2 qualification
Travel
There is a free shuttle bus from Lewes Station to take young people to Ringmer. Alternatively take 28 bus from Churchill Square and up Lewes Road which will take you direct to Ringmer College.
