This is an excellent opportunity to work in a large Mainstream Secondary School environment where you will be responsible for teaching pupils with severe to moderate Dyslexia and its associated behavioural problems. The classes will be made up of boys in years 7 to 8 , exceptional behaviour management skills are essential for a candidate to be successful in this role.

 

This is an all boys’ specialist sports college and exhibits a high degree of commitment to sport both within and outside the curriculum.

The role is for 4 days a week on a long-term basis however the right candidate will be offered the role on a permanent basis should they want it from the beginning of the Easter term. There is an element of personal care for the pupils incorporated in this role and candidates with a background in this area will excel in this role.

 

This School is situated on the outskirts of Hastings on the picturesque south coast towards the Eastern end of East Sussex. Brighton is situated approximately 40 miles to the west and Dover the same distance to the East. Facilities at the school include a separate SEN classroom, three art and design suites, and open plan resource and library centre, 90% of the classrooms fitted with interactive white boards, a small theatre and a Train 2 Learn centre.
