If you’ve always fancied giving rugby a ‘try’, but never quite known how or where to begin, then the Lewes RFC Club taster day is the event for you!

On Sunday August 30th (12 noon – 5pm), we are welcoming EVERYONE to come on down and try something new. Whether you’re male, female, young, old, never played before or an old pro - come on down and give it a go!

With this event, we hope to:

1. Strengthen links with the local community;
2. Encourage more people to get involved in community rugby (especially women!)
3. Raise money for local charity www.passingiton.org.uk.

There’ll be all manner of events on the day for you to enjoy, from basic rugby drills, touch rugby games, the penalty kick competition, rugby assault course, the challenge-your-mates passing drill, a charity raffle WITH SIGNED 1966 ENGLAND WORLD CUP shirt up for grabs, a rugby shirt auction (your chance to bid for the coveted signed Harlequins shirt - add your own fake blood!) and much more. We’ll also be promoting the WRFU womens rugby world cup – which takes place in London next year!

…oh, and the bar will be open throughout!
