Consents Manager
The main responsibilities of the role include:
Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures and its customers.
Manage the obtaining of consents professionally and to time through positive dialogue with third parties and application of legal expertise.
Manage the surveying of land and property to understand the current landscape and how this can be accommodated to specified projects.
Complete reviews and recommend appropriate action to Project Managers.
Maintain knowledge and expertise to ensure all work is completed in professional and legally compliant manner.
Deal with and advise on Consent issues as they arise.
Maintain awareness of H&S policy and rules and keep up to date on changes that impact your role.
Adhere to the Safety Rules and instructions.
Assess the personal risks of personal and team lone working on a daily basis.
Promptly record all accidents and near misses.
Take overview of schemes of work to be completed and manage accordingly.
Plan ahead to ensure consents are achieved in line with scheme deadlines.
Oversee the maintenance of the approved supplier database and update enquiry database.
Ensure all Consents work is organised to maintain high levels of efficiency and cost effectiveness.
The successful candidate will have/be:
A degree or equivalent preferably in Business or Law is desirable or qualified as a Chartered Surveyor.
Experience of obtaining consents or surveying preferably in the construction (civils) or electricity industries.
Experienced and capable negotiator used to handling a wide range of people.
Experience of managing the work of others.
Knowledge of electricity industry and engineering schemes.
Sound commercial skills and links to business.
Computer literate.
