Introduction to Samatha Meditation in Sept free classes
Samatha Meditation is a traditional breathing mindfulness practice from the Theravadin Buddhist School of South East Asia, developing:
- Inner Strength
- Concentration
- Wisdom
We will now be holding introductory classes in September on Thursday evenings at 6.30pm - dates to be confirmed soon. Unfortunately we have had to cancel the classes previously advertised on the 31st July and 14th August as the teacher is not available for these dates.
The introduction classes are open to all and require no previous meditation experience. They offer a wonderful opportunity to find out more about this powerful yet calming technique. We hope this will develop into an ongoing meditation group. The class is free but donations are welcome.
More information about this form of meditation can be found at http://www.samatha.org/ or email us using the contact form.
It will be held at the Friends’ Meeting house
