Mechanical Aircraft Engineer
Urgent 6 month temp to perm contracts immediately available for Mechanical Engineers with previous experience in Aircraft Industry.
Purpose:
Carry out mechanical repairs to aircraft seats, galley carts and other non-electrical aircraft interior components to EASA POA Part 21 subpart G or Part 145 standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Carry out mechanical repairs to aircraft seats, galley carts and other non-electrical aircraft interior components to Component Maker�s Manual (CMM), EASA POA Part 21 subpart G or Part 145 standards.
2. Complete snag sheet and seat work sheet.
3. To ensure familiarity with all relevant Inspection Procedures including EASA Part 145, POA Part 21, subpart G, ISO 9001:2000 and FAR 145.
4. To cut aircraft carpets.

Accurate, timely and traceable documentation.
Meeting work requirements and for own work standards and production rates.
Important Health and Safety Considerations of the Role (e.g. Night Work, Compressed Air Line, VDU�s, etc):
1. Hand tools and machine tools.
2. Requires Personal Protective Equipment (glasses, footwear, etc).
Qualifications:
1. City and Guilds (or similar) in an appropriate engineering subject Yes
Knowledge / Experience of:
1. Previous experience as a mechanical fitter.
2. Light engineering hand tools and machinery.
3. Part 145 and Part 21 subpart G regulations and standards.
4. Safe working practices.
5. Previous experience in an aircraft refurbishment environment.
Skill in:
1. Use of hand tools and machinery.
2. Mechanical fitting.
