Nigel’s Eco Store (www.nigelsecostore.com) is an award winning online retailer of environmentally friendly products.

We are looking for an intern for 3 months to help us to add more exciting products to our online shop.

This is an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience of working in online retail, and also of working as part of the team of a fast growing small business.

Working closely with the director, and buyer, you will:
- prepare product pictures in readiness to be added to the website
- create product and sub-section pages in our content management system
- create appropriate product reference codes
- from supplier info, draft product descriptions, headlines, specifications and information that will help us to sell the product and the customer to buy it (to be edited by the buyer)
- input all data, eg reference code, price, weight,  and words and pictures into our content management system in readiness for publishing to the internet
 - complete all necessary fields eg  meta tags, marketing info, links etc

As part of this you will learn about:
* What is it like to work in business and, particularly, in small business
* What makes a successful online retailer
* Technical skills of updating the website

Desirable skills: Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop. Ability to write short copy, and enter data accurately with attention to detail, familiarity with online shops and the internet. Enthusiasm and initiative a prerequisite.

Allowance: Please note this is an unpaid internship but we will cover reasonable travel expenses

Location: based in our offices in Poets Corner, Hove
Hours: This is a part time internship - ideally we are looking for someone who can do 2 to 3 days per week.
