My name is Maxine I have been teaching Adult and Children Art courses for 15 years , at schools , universities and private practise. I am a teacher and an Art Therapist.

It doesnt not matter about your ability when starting this course , we are not working on the belief that to draw requires hidden talent, we are going to be dealng with learning techniques that build up towards learning the vocabulary of being able to draw what we see.

I believe Drawing is a learnable teachable skill.I base my course content on Betty Edwards book "Drawing on the right side of the brain" which believes we are all capable of getting in touch with the creative side as we did when we were children.

The Drawing class is a 10 week program , each class is 2 hours and cost £10.00 , The Classes cover all the skills necessary to learn how to draw.,
Beginning with warm up skills, mark making to line drawings.Learning how to measure distance and proportion , perspective , shading and highlighting.
we will be working on still life drawing and self portraits in pencil and charcole.

I am also offering a course in" Introduction To Colour" This course will introduce stdents to colour mixing and complementry colours, painting with water colour and acrylic, working towards a composition o on canvas..
