The van is a Bedford CF2 which was first registered in 1986

Firstly some info about the Van:

The outside is painted a really nice dark green
Both Drivers side and passenger side doors are sliding, which is more unusual and quirky and also gives a bit more space...
Twin rear axle so able to support quite a heavy load
3.5 tons so can be driven on a normal car license
Manual 5 speed gear box
Petrol engine, all in good order
Recent MOT (expires beginning august 2010) passed with no major hic-ups. I also have MOT history
Tax until end of December 09
Engine size: 1979cc
Mileage: 52,955
Sits comfortably on the motorway around 60-65 mph
Amazing huge windscreen so there are the most incredible views when driving

So now I'll tell you a little bit about the inside... When I brought the van it had already been converted by the previous owners into a motorhome, but I basically took it all out and started again:

There is a large double futon bed which I have raised up a foot or so off the floor to give more storage space underneath. The bed is a great size and very comfy.
There is wooden paneling throughout the van, some wood-stained and some painted.
Some shelves.
A nice little calor gas oven/hob which came with the van when I brought it. The hob and grill have always served me fine and are in perfect working order, however I'm not too sure about the actual oven part as I've never really tried to use it. I have lit it up in the past and that all works fine but I've never actually cooked anything inside it so I cant vouch for that... There is space for a little gas bottle to be stored underneath it and there is still some gas left in it too. The whole oven is built up and into a nice little handmade wooden kitchen unit. There is also an amazing big chunky piece of oak as a chopping board along side it.
Quite a bit of storage space in little cupboards and plenty of room to make more if you want to.
There is a sink unit in the corner and drainage underneath to outside the van but at the moment there isn't a proper sink in place, but again this would be easy to fit.
There are curtains on some of the windows and a really nice bamboo roller blind on the largest window.
In the photos there is also a desk and a small wooden cupboard, these will not be included for sale with the van, as they are bits of furniture I will need in the future but this is how I chose to use the space in the van and it gives a good idea of what will fit. However, if you end up owning her, there will be a nice bit of space for you to do what you like in; additional kitchen area, more storage or you could even bolt a couple of seats in the back...be creative and use your imagination!
Double doors open out to the back with windows in each one.
Lots of windows throughout the van so it is beautiful and light during the day, but also can be nice and cosy when you draw the curtains at night.
Skylight in roof and fitted lights that run off the battery.
Some insulation throughout.
A really useful Storage area above the cab, will hold a lot.
Only one seat (drivers) in the cab, there was a pair of double minibus seats in the front too, but I got rid of them because I wasn't really driving passengers around and wanted the extra space in the front. But it wouldn't be hard to pick up a seat of pair of seats (from ebay or a scrapyard or something) and bolt them in the front.
Amazingly beautiful real wood floorboards throughout the van, done by a proper specialist flooring company... I think it was the smallest job they've ever done It looks incredible and really adds to the beauty of the van.
Small attached step folds down at the back.
Dimensions in the inside living space are approx 6 1/2ft wide, just over 10ft long and about 5'10" high. Its not a problem for me to stand up in and I'm about 5'7".

Some of the work that I've had done during the course of my ownership includes:

Brand new clutch
Brake pipes replaced
New wing mirrors
One set of brake cylinders replaced and new wheel bearing. Along with other small bits and bobs for MOT

Its a really great sized van and would be great to live in or for trips away. I lived for a few months in Cornwall and shes the perfect festival van, I've been to Glastonbury, Sunrise, The Big Chill and many others in her. The owners previous to me drove all the way to the south of France and back with no problems. Ive been told by mechanics that shes sound with a very solid structure. Sometimes takes a little while to start on cold mornings (as do lots of old vehicles.) There is a choke and a couple of tricks to get her going too! Also this was the first vehicle I've even owned and for a large-ish van, its surprisingly easy to get the hang of driving, no power steering obviously due to her age (but this just helps build up your muscles a bit) Like I say, I brought this just before I passed my driving test, and before that I was only used to driving a little hatchback and I've encountered no problems... There are a few dinks and scrapes as can only be expected with a vehicle of this age, in my opinion they just add character She will be greatly missed by me and I really hope whoever she goes to next will have just as much fun and enjoyment as I did, there is still room to stamp you mark on this van and there is plenty of life and soul left in her. I've done my best with the pictures and description but i would strongly recommend that you view before considering to buy, you will get a much greater sense for everything if you are able to get inside and have a poke around and go for a little test drive.
