Our client who is one of the UK’s leading construction groups is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a major Civil Engineering project in East Sussex.

Our client has the Main Contract for this project which is valued in excess of £50 Million.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be project based and will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of commercial work in administering a £4.5 Million reinforced concrete works sub-contract on this high profile project.

Although initially recruiting for this project the company is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor that can develop into a senior member of their commercial team – appropriate training and support will be provided to allow this development to take place.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following experience and credentials:

• Proven experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a large Main Contractor, ideally with some experience of RC Structures.
• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related Construction discipline.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong experience of sub-contractor commercial management.
• The desire to build a long term career with a market leading construction group.

The company is offering an excellent salary up to £30,000 depending on experience plus company car or car allowance, contributory pension scheme, life insurance, private healthcare and 25 days paid holiday.
