Pin Badge Collectors Club Assistant (Volunteer role)
Are you friendly? Enthusiastic? well, we might be looking for someone just like you to compile a full Pin Badge checklist for members of the Collectors Club
However you will still need to tick a few other boxes
You will need good organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills (i.e. friendly, approachable and supportive)
and Computer literate – confident in using Word, Photoshop and Publisher. Able to use a scanner.
Relevant training will be provided before starting the role and you will need to commit to a minimum of 1 day a week.
The Pin Badge Collectors Club is an important method of raising unrestricted funds for the RSPB. To help expand and develop this scheme we need a volunteer to create a catalogue of all RSPB badges (and their backing cards) available.You will be required to scan badges and backing cards, put together a well-presented catalogue with reference numbers for each pin badge and write a small history of the Pin Badge Collectors Club.
Your other tasks will include:·
Communicating with our Pin Badge Collectors Club Leader to see if he needs anything added to the catalogue and to see if any pin badges are missing.
This is a great opportunity to help the RSPB raise money for our conservation work. You will work as part of the Community Team in the office.The RSPB is an active and exciting conservation charity, the largest in Europe! We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work. You will also be running your own project in accordance with your line manager.
We would reimburse you for all out- of- pocket expenses, invite you to volunteer thank you events, send you copies of our bi-annual volunteer newsletter, and of course give you ongoing support in your role.The RSPB works for a healthy environment rich in birds and wildlife.
