Our Client runs Residential Care Homes for Learning Disabilities in the South East. There philosophy of care based on the principle of “supporting independence” by helping clients achieve their full potential whatever their level of ability. To work in accordance with our Clients philosophy of care and its Policies and Procedures.
They are looking for an experienced Home Care Manager with a minimum of 2 years current knowledge as a Home Care Manager in a Learning Disabilities Home. Essential qualification NVQ4 & RMA, the location of the home is Dover, Kent.
The Home Manager is Responsible for of all aspects of the operational management of the home to develop new initiatives in care practices and overall delivery of a quality service. Continually manage the home ensuring the highest standards of support and care are provided for the residents, that detailed Care Packages are in place and an effective service is delivered. Ensure adherence to all requirements and regulations laid out under the Care Standards Act 2001 and all other relevant legislation. Effectively develop good communication links between members of the team and colleagues. Train recruit motivate staff through example and attention to the maintenance of good working practice and effective communication. Fully responsible for the development and maintenance of comprehensive Care Plans for each individual resident. Ensure that the staff team support residents effectively and that their needs are met with a proactive enabling approach. Facilitate annual holidays. Ensure continuity of care and support of the highest level based on an individualistic approach. Ensure that a safe and clean environment is maintained at all times, meeting all relevant Health and Safety legislation. Ensure that all administration and record keeping is maintained to a high standard. Salary £28,000 Plus Bonuses Full-Time 37.5 hours, 20 days holiday annually
