School Bursar Business Manager
Hays Education currently have bursar/business manager vacancies in schools based in the Brighton and wider Sussex area.

We are looking to recruit candidates with a strong financial/administrative background, preferably within a school environment. Your responsibilities will include the financial management of all aspects of the school, management of school ICT systems and the payment of school invoices. In addition, you will represent the school at meetings with the council and external service providers.
We have a selection of both permanent and temporary vacancies. If you are looking for part time work the possibility exists to consider roles where days worked and hours may be flexible.
To be considered for this role we will need to be able to obtain suitable working references that demonstrate your reliability, professionalism and ability to perform your duties. All candidates will be subject to full vetting in line with DCSF guidelines to confirm suitability to work with children.

Knowledge and Skills:
· A recognised management/business degree or business qualification
· Ability to strategically influence decision making within the school
· Previous experience of managing accounts
· Good knowledge of overseeing a school budget
· Understanding of national and regional educational services in order to deliver effective school management
· Ability to discretely deal with confidential information
· Ability to use a range of ICT packages, including SIMS database
· Ability to lead teams and individuals
· Highly communication and interpersonal skills
· Organised, ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
· Be able to deal effectively with conflicting priorities and limited resources
