Carden Computers is a growing IT company based in Brighton, East Sussex.

A new position is available for an I.T technician working in our repair centre based in Patcham Brighton. Although this is initially a part time position it could very quickly increase to a full time postion in the next few months.

On the job training will be provided where necessary.

Applicants must be presentable, time efficient and have the ability to approach the IT world with no jargon advice to our clients.

Job roles include:

Customer service and advice to both instore clients and over the telephone.
Home user hardware and software repairs and upgrades to pc's and laptops. MACs. Would be an advantage
Ensuring the office is clean, tidy and presentable.
Sales of PC, laptops and equipment
Ability to problem solve and come up with conclusion of faults
Receiving and logging support calls from business customers, helping where possible, escalating them to senior colleagues when the need be.

Skill set must include:

Good and polite telephone manner.
Ability to work to timescales and on more than one task at a time.
Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, basic applications such as office, email clients, virus scanners.
Ability to fault find and fix errors using process of elimination.
Ability to learn in new upcoming technologies as they are developed.

Basic Windows server operating system knowledge an advantage.

Initial working hours are Wednesday - Friday 9am - 6pm with a wage of £8 per hour OTE.

This job role would ideally suit someone who has a good I.T repair knowledge and is willing to learn more and build a career in the IT industry. Knowledge if asp.net a bonus.
