Middleweight Designer / Web Designer
£18k-£25k depending on experience

Job Summary
Leading online comparison website MoneyExpert.com is looking for an innovative and skilled technical team of 4-5 web designers and web developers to implement our current marketing and advertising strategies. You will be lead by the IT Manager to modify the current website, design, animate and produce online advertising static and flash banners for exciting advertising campaigns. You will also design for HTML newsletter emails. Your main responsibility is improving the brand, customer journey and conversion rates through constant modification to your work. You should strive to deliver outstanding creative pieces under close deadline without compromising quality. Through your design you will ensure our marketing vision is brought to life.

You should have excellent design and animation skills with the ability to understand and control basic actionscripts. You should be completely competent creating flash and gif banners from given assets and have commercial/agency experience. Streaming and rich media experience would be useful but is not essential. You should have examples of your banners on an online portfolio.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about design with outstanding creative skills.

Prior to interview, you will be required to complete a small creative brief.


Key Responsibilities
• With your team, work from a brief and modify the current website design, create online advertisements, email marketing and key data capture forms
• Suggest design improvements and implement required changes
• Ensure the high quality design of our branding, messaging and content across all our external advertising and within the site
• Inspire the team through creative vision, and be open and receptive to constructive comments about your work
• Respect your team when offering suggestions for improvements
• Provide and implement recommendations for website performance, user experience and retention through design


Qualifications / Experience
• CS3 – photoshop, Illustrator and Flash
• Dreamweaver
• HTML, CSS &XHTML
• ASP.NET would be an advantage but not essential
• Be able to demonstrate a development portfolio of involvement in data-driven websites
• Be comfortable working within a team project environment delivering against clear requirements, plans and deadlines.
• Be a motivated team-player who contributes ideas to the project but can also work as directed to meet deadlines.
• Be a good communicator with experience of working in a professional environment with exposure to corporate clients. Good written and verbal English language skills are essential.
• Be a Microsoft Office user with good email etiquette.
