HEAD OF ASD FACILITY (new post)

The Governors of this large and innovative comprehensive school wish to appoint an experienced teacher to lead the development of the new ASD Facility opening in 2010.  The successful candidate should have a proven track record of working with pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties and specialist knowledge and experience of pupils with ASD.  The Head of the Facility will be responsible for -
 
1. Development of the social and academic progress of pupils with ASD
2. Development of the specialist provision for pupil with ASD as a centre of excellence
3.  Training and guidance for staff and pupils
4.  Management of the specialist provision
 
The ASD Facility will open with 6 students in 2010.
