Our client is currently looking for an experienced qualified social worker to practice as a supervising social worker within a private fostering agency. Our client is an established fostering agency who had an excellent Ofsted review 2008.

The post is a full time and permanent position where you will be required to support foster carers, their birth children and the children and young people in placement. In addition to this, you will provide specialist support and assessments regarding parent and child placements. Alongside statutory duties, formal supervision of carers and direct work with children in placement, you will also visit prospective carers, assist in the training and development of carers and participate in our out of hours service.

The client will provide an excellent pension scheme, travel allowances, lease car hire, competitive pay rates and continuous on site training is also a commitment from the organisation. In order to achieve the higher salary, our client requires candidates to have the Post Qualifying Child Care Award (or Specialist Award equivalent).

It is essential that all applicants hold a current CRB/GSCC/DipSW, being able to drive is essential in order to support carers across this area, a lease car scheme is offered by the company as an alternative to sourcing your own vehicle.
