The Cassini Divide formed in 2007 to explore the idea of creating 21st century pop music.

Their tracks are centred around developing a modern, robotic and individual sound, exploiting pop song structures and incorporating elements derived from urban, dance, indie, rock and metal.

The members making up this ambitious project unsurprisingly come from a variety of musical backgrounds, with Ed (vocals) growing up listening to soul and mowtown before being ensnared by the brit-pop revolution of the 90s, Chris (guitars) fully immersed in both classical music and metal before turning his attetion to pop, and Tally (bass) beginning his musical life dj'ing drum and bass, and garage before exploring punk and nu metal.

While completing the next phase of their recordings they will be looking to make the transition from a studio-based collective to a live performing outfit through the recruitment of a drummer and synth player.
