Embody approved Basic Intermediate Su Jok Therapy, 2 day Hot Stone and Indian Head Massage Courses
SU JOK THERAPY
Su Jok therapy courses are new to the UK, however, it is very popular in India, Korea, Australia, America, Moscow and parts of Europe where it has been taught for a number of years. This course is being taught in association with Indian Su Jok master, Ashok Kumar Kothari who is approved by and registered with the International Su Jok Association. The course is also accredited by Embody. Su Jok works with correspondence systems on the hands and feet (not akin to refexology) on physical and metaphysical levels, using acupressure, moxa, magnets, needling, seeds, colour, etc. to correct energy deficiencies which cause disease/disorder in the body. The beauty of Su Jok is that it is very easy to learn and the benefits to the client are often instantaneous............. Level I Basic 21-24 April, 2007, Level II Intermediate 25-28 April, with Smile Meditation 29-30 April. Twist Therapy and Advanced courses have also been set up throughout 2007.
HOT STONE MASSAGE
Thermal stone massage is becoming increasingly popular as an advanced massage course, however, it is not a new therapy. The principles of using heat (yang) and cold (yin) to bring about beneficial changes within the body have been around for many years. Stone Therapy is more than just a relaxing experience, it provides a number of therapeutic benefits e.g. the cold stones increase blood circulation and the warmth is able to penetrate to a depth of 4cm. The stones work on physical and spiritual levels, bringing about feelings of total relaxation. The stones are created from energy and thus give off energy, which can be channelled for healing purposes to the client and to the therapist. Other benefits for the therapist are that the stones take the heavy work out of massage and lessen the risk of RSI, tendonitis, etc. The next course is 14/15 April, 2007.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Marma points relate to energy spots within the body which when activated through pressure and massage, clear blockages within the body’s subtle energy system, bringing about deep relaxation and feelings of well-being. Marmas are an integral part of Ayurveda, which is India’s traditional healing system. They also resemble acupuncture points of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Indian Head Massage has been adapted from marma point therapy, and works on specific marma points on the head, face, occiput, neck and upper back. I have developed this CPD course, not only to enable you to competently convert your massage skills from couch to chair, but to also bring awareness of the body’s subtle energy system and its innate ability to heal itself when fully relaxed. The next course is 28/29 April, 2007 - For further course information and dates throughout 2007 please visit our website www.handsonhealth.me.uk or call 01737 558104
