Technical Architect Development Team Lead
My client are a market-leading firm who utilise cutting edge technologies. They are currently recruiting for a Technical Architect / Development Team Lead.
Essential skills:
* Previous demonstrable experience of involvement in proposal development, including estimating and writing of technical material for inclusion in proposals.
* Previous system analysis and design experience.
* Extensive system architecture experience designing large, complex solutions.
* Experience of designing high availability systems, including Clusters, SAN, NAS, load balancing, replication etc.
* Good understanding of various comms protocols and transports including HTML, TCP/IP, UDP, SLIP, XML, SOAP, RPC.
* Previous experience of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
* 3+ years of software development with an object oriented language.
* Implementation and deployment knowledge of Windows and UNIX environments.
* Design solutions for application server environments.
* Database design skills and a good knowledge of SQL, ideally in a data warehouse application.
* Experience of managing teams of at least 10 developers
This role will involve regular contact with project sponsors and business users with external clients. Within the business it will involve working within a team of analysts and developers; interacting with project management, business management, suppliers and business partners. It is essential that you will have strong written and verbal communication skills and be highly commercially aware. Ideally you will have experience of applications involving large networks of unattended devices. It would also be beneficial if you were to have a strong knowledge of financial and regulatory practices within business.
