The Assam Foundation – India is looking for a volunteer Cameraman / editor to begin working with the organization ASAP on the SAVE THE BRAHMAPUTRA RIVER campaign in order to produce a documentary. This is currently the only campaign working in Assam on a variety of environmental problems facing the river.

You will be responsible for:

• Filming the documentary
• Editing the footage

You should have experience in some or all of the following:

• Documentary film making
• Technical knowledge / background
• Ideally – an interest in global / environmental problems.

The SAVE THE BRAHMAPUTRA RIVER campaign was launched by the Assam Foundation – India on the 31st July 2009. The Foundation is a registered NGO (Registration No. RS/KAM/240/H/287) and has been operating in Assam since 1998. The organisation has received national and international recognition of its cultural, literary and social achievements of Assam and Assamese. It has organised several international and national level seminars and lecture programmes in Indian capital city Delhi and North-East India’s cultural epicentre Guwahati, along with publishing different books, journals and brochures over the years.
