Our client is a successful Gastro Pub group with an excellent reputation locally that is currently recruiting for a Sous Chef at their site on the outskirts of East Grinstead that has bags of character.

You will be working with fresh seasonal and local produce whilst preparing food from scratch in a very busy kitchen under the guidance of skilled Head Chef.

Responsibilities will include covering for the Head Chef in their absence, day to day running of the kitchen, menu planning and costing on a daily basis for the specials board, liaising with suppliers, ordering, Health and Safety, Hygiene, managing junior members of the team, cooking food to order whilst maintaining excellent food standards in a timely manner.

To apply for this position you will be a trustworthy and loyal individual with several years experience at Sous Chef level gained in a reputable kitchen, you will be able to demonstrate good craft kills which ideally have been gained in a busy restaurant or similar environment.

Our client can offer a competitive basic of between £21'000-£23'000 + a share of the tips, accommodation and 28 days holiday.
