Soul of the City is a fun, new choir singing gospel, pop and soul.

The choir will be a great opportunity to sing, socialise and meet new people (a trip to the pub is a must after every choir practice!).

Gone are the days when singing was at the centre of the community, bringing people together from all walks of life... we'd like to do something about that.

There are no auditions to join the choir and it is open to all levels of experience and ability. Whether you're a complete beginner, shower singer or more established singer, this choir is for you!

The sessions are up-beat and led by an experienced vocal tutor, you're bound to have a fantastic time.

The choir's ten week term will be start on:

Tuesday 29nd September, 7.30 - 9.00pm

Venue: St. Paul's Primary School, St. Nicholas Road, Brighton. BN1 3LP (1 minute's walk from the Clock Tower / Churchill Square)

We've recently had our first 2 taster sessions, which were a massive success - everyone had a great time and made an amazing sound. We've also had fun down the pub afterwards, getting to know some of our new choir colleagues a bit better.

Our 10 week term, which will see the choir working towards a final performance, will start on Tuesday 29th of September.

This is the very last opportunity to try the choir this year. As we'll be working towards a concert performance in December, we won't be accepting any new members after the 29th of September.

We are asking people to sign up for the full course on Tuesday. However, if you would like to come along on Tuesday and try the session as a taster, then you can simply pay £5 for the session and then pay the remainder of the fee if you decide you'd like to sign-up for the remaining 9 weeks.

If you do sign up for the full term, we will be providing you with a CD containing all your parts, so you can listen and familiarise yourself with them at home or in the car (no music reading necessary).
