The have you just broken up with your boyfriend Silver Linings group
Finding empty chocolate wrappers are building up in your bed and your flat starting to look like you need a social worker? wanting to feel less miserable and save on tissues? most of your friends in relationships or married with two children and a spaniel? making an art form out of laying on ya bed staring at walls thinking and thinking that you should not be thinking those thoughts that make you think them all over again? thinking that you should be out not staring at walls thinking? even the cat juggling plates has stopped cheering you up, then maybe some of us could......
......meet up and do some fun and silly stuff to give us a bit of a different focus for a bit, maybe a game of crazy golf, take in some model villages hehe, stroke some Shetland ponies in the country and maybe dog watching on the seafront. Maybe we could have afternoon tea parties and eat cake (fondant fancies would be fitting it think) and do some sewing together like the old fashioned days and learn to be good cooks or go and buy shoes we cant walk in or sumink. Having a bit of a dance to cheesy music at the local discotheque might cheer us up a bit, and maybe we could go watch a bit of live music or go to the duke of yorks to watch a film or go for a nice dinner or sumink. Stuff that can fill the hole (pardon the pun) left by our relationships so we can cut down on the amount self medicating chocolate and chips we put away when we are feeling upset. Maybe we could share ideas and make some new friends over a glass of wine and find a bit of silver to line some dark clouds.
This may all seem a bit silly and im not sure model villages are the best way to get over heartache but I have seriously just broken up with my boyfriend and thinking about how what I need right now is not another boyfriend but more girly friendy types that might want to get up to some adventures or just sit and drink tea and meet new people, might be a nice way to make some positives out of a poo time. Oh and if you're a single lass and would like some more girly folk to hang out with then you would be most welcome too. The idea is to put the emphasis on nice distractions and interests, making new friends rather than it being a therapy group.
Any ideas or takers?
