Project Worker
Main Purpose: To assist in helping the scheme to run effectively.
1. Intensive Housing Management/Support
To manage housing services in accordance with company policies
and agreed practices. This will include all or some of the following
tasks:
i) To offer support to all clients regularly and appropriately, whilst encouraging independence and self reliance. This may include:
a) Assisting clients with their introduction to the house and advising/assisting them with "moving on".
b) Giving advice on housing tenancy matters, on housing and other benefits,
c) Encouraging personal growth and confidence building.
d) Ensure a fast and efficient response to clients requests.
e) Carrying out simple household/maintenance tasks.
f) Encouraging clients to make use of external community services.
g) Creating Individual Support Plans based on a mutual assessment of clients needs.
ii) To facilitate a positive group dynamic and client participation within the house. This may include:
a) Facilitating house client meetings, encouraging all clients to
participate.
b) Providing access and information in order that clients can make informed decisions in the running of the house.
c) Encouraging a co-supportive environment in the house.
d) Encouraging and cultivating a stress-free environment.
e) Encouraging social inter-action where appropriate.
2. Financial Management
Acting strictly according to company Financial Procedures.
a) Collecting charges due and issuing receipts,
b) Handling arrears in accordance with Arrears Policy.
c) Keeping all monies secure, banking promptly and recording all financial transactions in full, ensuring receipts are obtained and retained for all payments.
d) Completing and returning weekly returns as required.
3. Maintenance
Acting strictly according to Maintenance Procedures.
a) Reporting all maintenance problems promptly and noting all defects in house diary/day book.
b) Liaising with contractors following appropriate authorisation.
4. Health and Safety
Taking responsibility for Health and Safety organisation/management in accordance with company policy and procedure.
5. Catering/Cleaning
Involving clients as appropriate.
a) Encourage clients to develop cooking skills
b) Ensuring communal areas are kept clean.
c) Ensuring appropriate cleaning materials are made available
to clients.
6. Training/Meetings
Attend training and meetings as required.
7. Equal Opportunities

8. Other Duties
Any other reasonable duties as directed by management team.
