Our client based in Healthfield is seeking a Weekend Chef to join their team

Duties will include:

" Supervises food service team to ensure food preparation, food service, table laying, dishwashing and kitchen clean up are satisfactorily completed on a daily basis.
" Evaluates employees' efficiency and productivity, and in the event of a deficiency, take responsibility for proper and efficient follow up and consultation with the management team.
" Responsible for operating a clean and safe kitchen.
" Employs skill and imagination in making meal times enjoyable for residents.
" Directs and assists in the set up of special functions.
" Instructs employees in sanitary food handling procedures and safe work methods and ensure that these procedures are followed.
" Follows up on complaints by residents.
" Perform all work assigned for agreed upon monthly wage, accepting no additional payment from residents for services provided.


The successful candidate will be:

" Happy to work weekends
" Educated to GCSE Level
" Experience of working with budgets
" Experience of working with food inventory
" Fresh food preparation experience
" Experience of working to dietary requirements
" Previous hotel or rest home experience
" Up to date food hygiene certificate


Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 Saturday and Sunday
Pay: £7.59 per hour
Temp to perm contract
