Low Cost Computer Communication for the Severely Disabled

We are building a small hand-held box keyboard with 8 large buttons that connects to any standard PC via USB.

Included is a simple, and easy-to-use program that allows those who are partly paralysed physically, and for any reason unable to speak, to communicate with words and phrases displayed on the screen, and also written to a file with date and time as a record.

This is hand-built electronics using components from the amusement arcade industry, so it should take some hard use, as disablement can be frustrating.

We are actively looking for people who are having difficulty communicating, and who would like a demonstration in the Brighton area.
