Help or advice needed

Hi, I am in need of some help / advice on fitness. I am possible the most unfit person you could ever meet and it is doing my head in. I can run for just a few metres before collapsing in a heap on the ground. I know one thing causing problems are the cigarettes (yes I know I should quit).

I work in an office, so I don't get any excercise (apart from the short walk to the bus stop). I have joined the gym a few times but it just got me into debt rather than fit.

I would like to get a personal trainer but I am on a limited budget. I guess what I'm looking for is to be able to run for a couple of miles without dying and to feel a little bit healthier (I should probably mention that my diet is also not good and I have a little psoriasis).
